The primary instructor and curriculum coordinator for the after-school magic classes is Kent Cummins. Kent has extensive experience as a teacher, now devoting more than half his time to teaching others. Kent also supplies the magic props and supplies furnished to children through the Magic Shop. (As a magic dealer, Kent is able to purchase the supplies at wholesale and therefore provide an excellent value to the participants.) Kent is founder and director of The Magic Camp in Austin. He makes use of assistant instructors and guest performers, to add variety to the classes. Each teacher is personally trained by Kent in how to deliver the lesson plans involved.

Kent takes education seriously! A National Merit Scholar, he received his BA Degree in communications from LSU and his MBA from UT. He has been an active member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and a professional member of the National Speakers Association. He has been selected as keynote speaker for numerous educational organizations, and presents in-service workshops on a variety of subjects. A prolific author, Kent's latest book is The Magic of Change, by Bullion Books.
